名香泰饼家的招牌产品‘蛋挞’是由祖母尹玉群女士开始制作以家庭式销售于六十年代后期。直到七十年代由父亲区志德先生接棒后,便和母亲曾莉梅女士采用推着三轮车以叫卖方式经营。为了纪念当年父母亲辛劳无悔的付出,顾名思义,所以才称之为‘三轮车蛋挞’

其中奥秘在于酥皮中的四十八叠法,令其酥皮层达至松脆,连同蛋馅趁热一同入口,顷刻溶化於口中,其痛快干脆的口感,着实令人再三回味!

望着新鲜出炉的广式酥饼,一粒粒身披着金黄色的蛋衣,亮丽得像艺术品那般,摆放在橱窗柜里,供顾客观赏选购。看着顾客吃得开怀,小孩们连掉落在碟中的酥皮碎片,一片一片的捡放在口中,那种满足的笑容,就是对于制饼的师傅们最好的回报了!

名香泰的酥饼不光是好吃好味而已,内里其实包含着老板区岷颉先生的童年回忆,也传承着上一代长辈们的心血与刻苦耐劳,用心制作的敬业精神!希望名香泰饼家能让您重温简单而快乐的童年滋味!
 
 
Trishaw Egg Tart is Ming Xiang Tai’s signature product. It was started by Madam Yin Yu Qun in 1960s as a home based business. It was until 1970’s that Madam Yin’s son Au Chee Teck and his wife Madam Chong Mooi used a trishaw cart to carry these egg tarts and sold in their local towns. The egg tarts are named as the Trishaw Egg Tarts, to honour his parent’s hard work in selling these pastries.
 
One of the secret of this egg tart is that the pastry has many layers which make it crispy. The egg and the pastry melt instantly in one’s mouth when it is serve immediately. The fresh baked golden eye catching egg tarts are arranged in lines are placed in front of the shop window attracts many customer's attention. It is pleased to see the kids picking and finishing up the leftover of the egg tarts from the bowl with satisfying smiling faces.
 
Ming Xiang Tai’s pastries are not only good in taste, but it also brings back many childhood memories. They are also showing the old generation’s determination and passion.
